Kellogg Company, and its subsidiaries engage in the manufacture and marketing of ready-to-eat cereal and convenience foods worldwide. With 2006 sales of US $ 10.9 (EUR 8.2) billion, Kellogg Company is the world’s leading producer of cereal and a leading producer of convenience foods, including cookies, crackers, toaster pastries, cereal bars, frozen waffles and meat alternatives.

A few years ago, Kellogg Company changed the way it operated its business. The company adopted a simple strategy that focused on three main priorities: Grow the Cereal Business, Expand the Snacks Business and Pursue Selected Growth Opportunities.

Today the company markets its cereal products under the Kellogg's brand name, and sells primarily to the grocery trade. These products were, as of December 30, 2006, manufactured by Kellogg in 17 countries and marketed in more than 180 countries. Its cereal products are generally marketed under the Kellogg's name, and are sold principally to the grocery trade through direct sales forces for resale to consumers.

It also markets cookies, crackers, and other convenience foods under the Kellogg's, Keebler, Cheez-It, Murray, Austin, and Famous Amos brands, to supermarkets in the United States through a direct store-door delivery system. Kellogg Company was founded in 1906 and is headquartered in Battle Creek, Michigan. The Company uses broker and distribution arrangements for certain products.
