Groupe Danone is a food company that primarily produces fresh dairy products, biscuits and cereal products. It also co-produces packaged water. The Company's portfolio of brands and products includes Danone (Dannon in the United States), a brand of fresh dairy products, which accounted for 49% of the Company's total sales figure in 2006. It also includes Evian, a brand of bottled still water; Volvic, its international brand of bottled still water; LU, a biscuits brand; Wahaha, a Chinese brand of bottled water, and Aqua, a brand of packaged water in Indonesia. It is also present in the infant food market in France through its subsidiary, Bledina.

In addition, it has developed two probiotic dairy product lines known under the names Actimel, Activia and Bio, as well as a line of low-fat products under the names Taillefine, Vitalinea and Ser.

As of November 26, 2007, Groupe Danone had acquired a 98.40% interest in Koninklijke Numico N.V.

The staff of Danone consists of 88,124 employees. The 2006 revenue of Danone was US $ 18.6 (EUR 14) billion.
