Caprabo improves service levels for online shopping

Caprabo, a leading supermarket retail chain in Spain, which operates an online shopping and delivery service in Spain, has deployed i2 transportation solutions to decrease the company's overall transportation costs in addition to increasing the store delivery service levels. The company has 569 stores and employs more than 17,000 people with a revenue of €2.2 billion.

"Caprabo has a key focus on improving company efficiency including store service levels while reducing costs and respecting the various constraints of our business. i2 has been a strategic partner for us throughout this project and been very responsive to our needs," said Ruben Masip, CIO, Caprabo.

"We are very proud to add Caprabo to our growing list of transportation customers in Europe and to help them improve their logistics operations. The successful go-live at Caprabo underscores the ability for our transportation solution to handle complex operational constraints and requirements in logistics networks dominated by private and dedicated fleets," said i2 Vice President of Global Logistics Razat Gaurav.

The solution is designed to support the process of planning, executing, and monitoring the complete shipment management lifecycle while also optimizing the transportation network.
