Trent invests in Star Bazaar expansion
Trent Ltd, the retail arm of the Tata Group in India, is likely to invest around Rs 20billion ( €0.3 billion ) over the next five years in the roll out of 50 Star Bazaar hypermarket stores, according to Indian press reports.

Trent's Chairman F K Kavarana made the statement offer the company's recent AGM.
"We are planning to have larger Star Bazaars [each of] which would be more than 50,000 sq ft," he added.

The company also plans to add another six to eight Landmark stores by the next year. It currently operates 18 Landmark stores and 30 Westside stores in 20 cities across the country.
