Shelf-Stable Solutions from Cryovac
Cryovac® shelf-stable technology offers a durable, flexible pouch alternative to metal cans which are widely used in the foodservice industry today. Developed from the well proven Cryovac® Vertical Pouch Packaging (VPP) technology, Flavour Mark™ pouches provide processors and foodservice operators with numerous advantages over traditional metal cans.
Because of the lower profile of the pouch, food does not take as long to heat in a flexible pouch as it does in a can, so it endures less heat abuse during the retort process, which results in better and more consistent flavour and texture. Substantial cost savings can be made both during production and filling of the pouches, and once the pouches are empty: empty pouches occupy significantly less space in disposal bins and weigh ten times less than a standard empty can, resulting in lower waste disposal costs.
Cryovac® Flavour Mark™ pouches are made with a high performance film which also provides secure, high-integrity seals to withstand the rigours of rough handling during distribution. The pouches can hold up to 3.7 litres and offer nearly 100% product yield for foods such as meatballs in sauce, stews, soups, vegetables and sauces.
