TOSHIBA TEC unveils European Supply Chain Management program for item-level RFID consumer goods

TOSHIBA TEC Europe announced the European version of its EXPRESS POS program, focused on RFID-tagged fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) in an integrated Supply Chain Management system.

Based on an RFID project in Japan with retailers FamilyMart and supply chain experts Itochu, TOSHIBA TEC successfully showed a combined barcode/RFID integrated solution that protected the ICT investment of both the retailer and the supply chain partners.

The live test in Japan of handling an extended range of FMCG end to end from the manufacturer all the way to the retail shop was so successful that a dedicated European version will be shown at the upcoming Equipmag trade show in Paris (Sept 22-25 2008), the Dutch Retail Federation VEDIS Convention Oct 2 and other European retail venues. Stay tuned for this exciting new development from TOSHIBA TEC.
