Miatech Expands Humidification for Retailer’s Fruit & Vegetable Walk-in-Coolers
The new Vorias 6 will soon replace the Vorias 4 humidification system for Fruit and Vegetable walk-in-coolers. The Vorias humidification systems are designed to cut weight loss by more than half and increase freshness. Many perishables are sold by weight. The Vorias 6 will have 50% greater capacity, meaning one size unit will work in any size walk-in-cooler.
Geoffrey Pappas, a Miatech Field Manager stated, “While some retailers have overlooked the humidification of walk-in-coolers because of the frequency of deliveries, they might want to take another look. Some products are in this cooler overnight and the quality and appearance is significantly impacted. Even though it might be a small amount of the overall offering, when you put tired perishables with the fresh ones, it impacts the image of the retailer.”
Miatech’s new low pricing makes this a necessity for today’s retailers.
